Director | Producer | Screenwriter
My name is Darrell “Rell G” Reynolds, a rapper, film director, producer, screenwriter, and U.S. Army veteran. My decade-long service taught me how to be disciplined, attend to detail, and lead others under pressure. Those skills stuck with me when I became a filmmaker. Everything I create is rooted in real life, real experience, and a relentless drive to tell stories that actually matter.
I hold an Associate Degree in Digital Filmmaking from San Francisco Film School, a BFA in Motion Pictures &Television, with an emphasis on producing, from Academy of Art University, and I’ve just completed my MFA in Writing & Directing for Film & Television. I didn’t just go to school to get degrees; I went to master my craft from every angle. My documentary Black Love has been recognized at multiple international film festivals, and my short film Rat Roommate is also an award-winning project.
My music is an extension of that same honesty. As Rell G, I rap about Black fatherhood, perseverance, and the kind of life most people only see from the outside. I’m not just here to make content. I’m here to leave something of value behind.
