A quick backstory on who I am!
My name is Oluremi Raphael Hart, on set I’m known as Soul Blue Aries (yes, I have a stage name). I was born and raised primarily in the inner city of Miami, Florida. My grandfather used to constantly take pictures of everyone and everything that interested him. I’m pretty sure that was the inspiration for my interest in storytelling: it was always easy for me to recall times and moments in my life because of all the photo books that captured the lives of my family and me.
I joined the Navy out of high school and served honorably for fourteen years. As soon as I came off my deployment in 2016, I started out directing music videos. A friend of mine had shown me a video that he shot using a drone, and that reeled me in to the world of filmmaking. I bought a drone and produced, directed, shot, and edited many music videos with talented artists. Since then, I’ve branched out and shot narrative shorts and documentaries.
I am a proud father of a daughter, about to turn twelve (time flies!). I look forward to enriching her life as a dad and as a filmmaker.
