Multi-Family Housing near Lake Merritt, Oakland

This project responds to the social and spatial changes created by the pandemic, when working from home reshaped daily routines and expectations. As society moves toward hybrid work, people seek flexible environments beyond the traditional office, including private work areas, shared community spaces, outdoor settings, and informal places for focus. At the same time, health and fitness have become central to social life, with activities such as rooftop yoga, run clubs, and outdoor workouts bringing people together. The project creates a range of work and wellness spaces—community, semi-community, and private—that support productivity, connection, movement, and well-being.
