My name is Sage Lamela, and I’m a non-award-winning Director from Danville. My love for filmmaking comes from films like The Fast and the Furious, 2 Fast 2 Furious, The Fast and the Furious…3,4,5,6,7,8,9. I haven’t seen them, but I’m sure I would love them. Just kidding: the only movie I like is Big Trouble in Little China. As far as I’m concerned, there are no other movies. Maybe Mad Max: Fury Road. Also, maybe The Master. Oh, and High & Low directed by Kurosawa? Yeah, ok, maybe those too.

When I grow up, I want to be a big-time filmmaker, and I want to smoke a cigar with Spielberg. I haven’t really thought any further than that. I figure I get to that point, and then I kind of just become a degenerate gambler. I mean, you gotta think that once you hit your peak, you’re going to spend the rest of your life trying to reach that high again, and the only way I can think to do that would be gambling. Lucky me if I get to that point.
