Oil paintings based on still life, figure, and tabletop game setups. Boards, pieces, and objects are arranged before play begins, focusing on the moment when everything is set, but nothing has happened yet. Light, surface, and structure carry the image.
Short Bio: Rebecca E. Bangs is a painter based in Minnesota. She is completing her MFA in Painting at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, and when not painting in pointillism with acrylics, can be found working primarily in oil on panel.
