My passion for interior design lies in the intersection of cultural storytelling and functional sanctuary. In my work for Batik & Bloom, I wanted to prove that a professional environment for long-term executive stays doesn’t have to be sterile. Instead, it can be a deeply personal, immersive experience. I am driven by the challenge of translating intangible heritage into a physical, modern space. By layering these artisanal details with the “City in a Garden” aesthetic of Singapore, I aim to create interiors that help guests feel both inspired and grounded. For me, design is about more than aesthetics; it is about creating a sense of belonging and “home” for the global traveler through intentional research, sustainable textures, and a profound respect for local identity.
