I am a senior fashion design student at the Academy of Art University exploring my interests in garment construction, non-traditional materials, and sustainable practices. Patternmaking, corsetry, tailoring, fabric experimentation, and leather construction have been at the forefront of my training and evolution as a designer. Problem-solving and new perspectives on how to create silhouettes have been the hallmark of my work; and each project allows me to explore a different avenue of my interests and strengths. From crystallization, to using dermestid beetles to bore through leather to eliminate material waste, to creating wearable solutions for medical devices, pushing boundaries in my approach to garments and garment -making serves as the constant drive for my work and creativity.
It is with this unique perspective that I hope to pursue collaborations and future design opportunities in a variety of areas, and push for more creative solutions for fashion design and production.
