School of Art Education

With 17 years of experience as an educator, I’ve had the privilege of teaching students from Kindergarten through Secondary, each year strengthening my belief in the power of learning to transform lives. I’m passionate about creating meaningful, cross-curricular learning experiences that connect to the real world and spark joy and curiosity in every student. My mission is to empower learners to recognize their unique strengths, embrace challenges, and feel confident in their ability to shape the future. I thrive in collaboration, whether designing dynamic lessons with colleagues or building a classroom culture where creativity, engagement, and resilience flourish.

Multimedia Project
This multimedia project on clay techniques was designed to support students in developing a deeper understanding of foundational ceramic skills, especially concepts they often find challenging. Through creating this project, I was able to provide clear and engaging support using video demonstrations, visual guides, and step by step instruction. The project focuses on essential methods such as hand building, scoring and slipping, and proper tool use, allowing students to see each process modeled in an accessible way.

Throughout the process, I also developed new skills that have already transferred into my professional practice. I now create videos to strengthen parent engagement, improve communication through social media, and enhance learning experiences within my classroom. By presenting content in multiple formats, students are able to learn at their own pace, revisit challenging steps, and build confidence while developing independence and creativity.
