Japanese Garden inspired necklace using walnut, leather, black pearls, shell and leather cording to create an homage to the Bonsai Tree. Using a breastplate design the necklace can be worn in two ways with emphasis on both the front and the back of the wearer. The main focal point is meant as a wooden backdrop found in gardens which ground the Bonsai and allow for the appropriate focal point. The accents in gold acrylic mimic a Japanese element found in the Portland, Oregon garden.
