Cassandra Margotti’s work engages the viewer with passion, rage and compassion. Journal entries, raw emotion and family imagery allow us into her every day challenges and triumphs. The visuals are colorful, hypnotic and feel like they are summoning up a collective memory.
Ten of Cups
Ten of Cups emerged from one of the hardest periods of my life. Like the Tarot card Death, it marks an ending that opens the way for renewal. The work moves through grief toward self‑love, healing, and rediscovery as a single mother. Distressed images and fragments from my journals turn memory and emotion into physical form. The transfer process mirrors healing—imperfect, chaotic, and fragile—holding both pain and tenderness as I rebuild connection with myself and my children. This project is about reclaiming joy after loss and honoring the complexity of becoming whole again. [Ten of Cups: emotional fulfillment and lasting happiness]
