School of Architecture

Passionate about creating thoughtful, functional, and visually compelling spaces, I bring a strong interest in design that responds to both users and context. Through academic work and internship with Kirley Architects, I developed skills in design documentation, AutoCAD, Revit, 3D modeling, rendering, and collaborative project workflows. Team-based environments are where I thrive – testing ideas, refining concepts, and translating design thinking into clear architectural solutions. My goal is to contribute to projects that not only meet the needs of users but also push the boundaries of sustainability and aesthetic design. Firms that approach urban challenges with creativity, innovation, and social responsibility especially inspire me, and I am eager to continue growing as a designer while contributing to impactful work.

Housing for Recently Separated Veterans

This apartment complex is designed for recently separated veterans, ages 22 to 45, transitioning from military to civilian life. Many residents are low to moderate income and may rely on VA benefits, job training, or GI Bill education. The design responds to challenges such as PTSD, anxiety, physical disabilities, and the need for stability, privacy, and trauma-informed support. Inspired by the military “Dayroom,” the project creates familiar communal spaces where residents can relax, socialize, cook, and build camaraderie. Shared kitchens, therapy rooms, wellness gardens, and quiet private units balance independence with connection, creating a peaceful, non-institutional home for veterans in Oakland.
