Despite all the PSAs, people don’t carry Naloxone on them. Many can’t justify the cost without knowing they’ll definitely use it, leading to lack of preparedness for overdoses. It’s crude but true. In the city of San Francisco, where new technology comes to life, why haven’t we used it to address the overdose epidemic? We created the app NaxNow utilizing the drone delivery company Zipline, making 24/7 on-demand Naloxone a reality. All it needed was a gutsy outdoor campaign around San Francisco to get the word out.
